Design & Functionality

The JAM Transit Buds come in a fairly conventional design, that is, small driver chambers attached to larger casings that house the battery and Bluetooth circuitry. The earpieces are small and comfortable, with the nozzles angled for a better fit, moreover, there are a set of detachable ear hooks for that secure fit.

The cable is rather long, but luckily, is fitted with an adjustable cinch that can be loosened and tightened at will. The Transit Buds earphones have a pair of magnets built into either side making it secure and convenient to wear around the neck when not in active use. The control scheme of the JAM Transit is 4 buttons (power button, multi-function button, the volume up button which doubles up as a next track button and the volume down button which also doubles up as a previous track button). Furthermore, a Micro-USB charging port is located at the top of the right earbud, under a flap.

These earphones are sweat-resistant and come with an IPX4 rating.

Wireless Feature

The HMDX JAM Transit Buds boasts a conventional Bluetooth 2.1 chipset but lacks optional codecs support. All of the wireless basics are also covered, including voice dialing and Siri integration for Apple Devices.

Moreover, the JAM Transit Buds’ operating range is well beyond the standard wireless devices making it the best with the feature in earphones, additionally, solid objects, i.e., walls, don’t seem to affect the range connectivity.

Sound Quality

Passive noise isolation is average, making it good enough for use at the gym or office. The bass is deep, but appears bloated and there seem to be an excess of mid- and upper-bass, making it a tad-sluggish. The bass bloat also affects the midrange, producing mediocre clarity. The treble, however, is soft and laid-back. Overall, the sound quality is smooth and warm with a deep and powerful hard hitting bass.

Wrap-Up
The JAM Transit Buds clearly deliver what they promise, a simple and easy to use wireless earphones with impressive design fitted with secure ear-fitting ideal for workouts. The sound could, however, do with some improvements in the case for audiophiles, but in general, the sound quality is average.

Jam Fusion Headphones are Sweat resistant, another feature that makes them suited for the active lifestyle in addition to the perfect ear hooks fix earbuds. The Bluetooth range also makes it perfect, the speakerphone great for receiving music and phone calls and the battery capacity is exquisite, rechargeable with up to 6 hours of play time.
